This is your last day in the island of Maui so make the most of it by waking up early and maybe watch the sunrise from your hotel balcony while having in-room breakfast. Check out early from the hotel (7:00am) and drive to Kula Lavender Farm to join the 9am to 9:30am tour.

Kula Lavender Farm

With breathtaking views and beautiful walking paths, Ali’i Kula Lavender is a perfect place to wander. Created by Agricultural Artist and Horticultural Master, Ali’i Chang, AKL’s 13.5-acre farm resides at an elevation of roughly 4000 ft. and is home to approximately 55,000 lavender plants and 45 different varieties of lavender. Olive trees, hydrangea, Protea, succulents and an exceptional variety of other plants can be found on the farm, which offers the first and only Lavender Lifestyle experience on Maui.

Paia Town

After the Lavender farm tour, drive up to the town of Pa'ia, explore the different shops and then have lunch at the famous Paia Fish Market Restaurant. Be sure to try the best selling item in their menu which is their blackened ono burger with fish tacos! Then just across the street is the Ono Gelato, and their Kula Strawberry flavor is sure to make you satisfied.

Paia contemporary Gallery and Maui Hands If you still have a lot of time before your flight, then try visiting the different art galleries in town, and maybe buy some artwork!

OFF TO THE BIG ISLAND!

Be at the airport by 3:00 because your flight to Hilo, aka the Big Island, leaves at 3:40 and will arrive at 4:00. For this island you will again have to rent a car, so go ahed and do that and then go to your hotel but go on a quick detour throuigh the Banyan Drive, so you could see the different banyan trees named after famous people like Babe Ruth.

The Shipman House Bed and Breakfast

Check in at the Shipman house bed and breakfast, Hilo's romantic luxury inn and the only authentic historic Victorian B&B on Hawaii Island, which offers a rare opportunity to experience the monarchy period of Old Hawaii. Your host is a Shipman descendent who welcomes you like long-lost friends, and shares with you her favorite places to visit, photograph, shop, swim or eat. You may not want to leave.

Your room is adjacent to the upstairs porch, and gets the cool mountain breeze off Mauna Kea at night. It looks out toward the park-like side yard and the front of the house.

The Shipman House also has a very beautiful lounge where you can relax during your free time and interact with the other guests in the house.

Miyo's japanese Restaurant

Treat yourself to a fancy dinner at Miyo's, just a few minutes away from the Shipman House. The restaurant offers quality Japanese cuisine personalized from homemade recipes.

Must Try: Spicy eggplant and squid salad

After dinner, head back to the Shipman house and sleep so that you'll be ready for your first day in the Big Island tomorrow!
